Eclectic and multifaceted, both a painter and jewellery designer, Carla Campea is one of Italy’s emerging pop artists and part of the growing group of new wave neon-pop artists. Immensely popular in both Chicago and New York where she is regularly exhibited, Campea works out of her studio near Rome’s famous Campo di Fiori. Here, she brings together bright colour images with jewels, plexiglass and neon light on canvas and wood to create highly original neon-pop pieces. She has exhibited in extraordinary locations such as the Castel Sant Angelo, the Campidoglio and the Capitoline Museums and her works are present in private collections including the Fendi palace in Rome, Capri and has of recent been collaborating with Harley Davidson on a bronze tribute to Elvis Presley.
