Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, Alfonso Mangone’s career began in his early twenty’s working alongside several foreign artists such as Kcrista Von Baum and Felicitas Pallat. Soon after, he began exhibiting in Italian galleries and public spaces before moving to Berlin and then to the Netherlands where he participated in several exhibitions in major Dutch cities. Soon after he was invited to create a series of exhibitions at the Italian Institute of Culture in Amsterdam and murals in public spaces such as: subways, theatres and parks. His works now feature in art galleries, museums, cultural centres and public and private collections in Italy and abroad , the most recent including the Biennale di Venezia with curator Vittorio Sgarbi, the Museum of Modern Art Palazzo Gomis, Barcelona, Maison de l’Italie, Paris, the Altes Dampfbad Museum and Stuttgart City Hall, Germany, the Italian Institute of Culture, Hungary, the Alviks Bibliotek, Sweden, the Gallery EA Effect Art, Palermo and the ‘Florence of Alfonso Mangone Exhibition’ at the Church of San Jacopo, Florence.
